About Me

Entrepreneur and investor, Pavao Vujnovac was born in Osijek, Croatia, and graduated with a degree in Economics from the University of J. J. Strossmayer in 2006. He started his career at then local natural gas supplier, PPD.

The business later became established as a pioneer of market liberalization in Croatia and leading supplier in the country, after Vujnovac became CEO and President of the Management Board. Today, PPD is the core company of Energia Naturalis Group (ENNA), one of the fastest growing companies in the region.

In 2010, Vujnovac became the owner of PPD and established it as a regional company that is recognized and respected in southeast Europe. In 2017, he established the PPD Global company in Switzerland. Vujnovac also participated in a business solution for Petrokemija d.d., the biggest Croatian and regional fertilizer producer, and was involved in the company’s restructuring – he currently serves as a member of the Supervisory Board.

ENNA Group advanced into the logistics sector by acquiring shares of Port of Ploče and Adriatic Transport (ENNA Transport today) in 2014, where Vujnovac holds the position of president of the Supervisory Board. He signed a joint venture agreement between Port of Ploče and VTTI - a global independent provider of energy storage. They have since built and developed the Adriatic Tank Terminal (ATT) with significant extra storage capacity for CPP and LPG products for the region. In addition, a joint venture agreement in 2021 between ENNA Logic and APM terminals for the Rijeka Gateway project resulted in a 50-year concession in the Port of Rijeka.

Vujnovac established a commodity trading company, Erdal, in 2016. Headquartered in Malta, it has active participation in the Hungarian, Ukrainian, Romanian, Croatian, Czech, and Bulgarian markets. In 2019, he became a shareholder and member of the Supervisory Board in Pevex, the first and biggest Croatian retail chain of non-food products. Vujnovac is also a shareholder and, as of 2022, a member of the Board of Directors in the Fortenova Group, which has its own business operations in food production, retail chain management, and agriculture.

Additionally, Vujnovac has business in the renewable energy sector, founding companies ENNA Opskrba, ENNA ESCO and ENNA Solar.

Pavao Vujnovac founded a non-profit, the New Tomorrow Foundation (Zaklada Novo Sutra), an organization devoted to making society more successful, educated, and humane. He actively promotes corporate social responsibility across his companies, including significant investment by ENNA Group into programs for children and young people, and many companies within the group supporting a variety of sports teams.

Under his leadership, ENNA group has become one of the most successful Croatian companies, known for its continuous investment back into the national economy. In 2023, he stepped down as CEO of the company, but remained an involved owner. Vujnovac has accumulated 15 years of experience in the energy sector. With his knowledge of economics and mathematics, and exceptional understanding of market conditions, he has become a leading industry expert among the region’s energy sector.
